Venura police said they arrested a teenager Thursday accused of having a gun with an obliterated serial number.

At about 12:54 a.m. Thursday, police responded to several reports of gunshots in a vacant field near Petit Avenue and Henderson Road, according to police.

As officers arrived, they received additional information that possible suspects were last seen going into a residence in the 500 block of Chesapeake Place, police said.
