Police are asking for help in identifying a woman who used a visit to the bathroom to complete her getaway after she was caught taking shrimp at the Weis Markets in West Manchester Township, according to a news release.

Township police released a surveillance photo of the woman, who has a yellow scarf on her head and a black, spaghetti-strap top.

At 6:17 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the Weis, 1800 Roosevelt Ave., for a report of a theft in progress.

When police arrived, a store loss-prevention officer and an associate said that when the woman was caught, she asked to use the bathroom before heading to the loss-prevention office.

"After a few minutes, they walked closer to the bathroom door and it was observed the door was cracked about 10 inches and the female was found to no longer be inside," police said.

West Manchester Township Police are looking for the identity of this woman, suspected of taking shrimp from the Weis.

Running outside, police and store employees saw a vehicle that matched the description of the one the loss-prevention officer said belonged to the woman. It quickly turned right onto Roosevelt Avenue.
