[productsample/affiliatelink] I don’t know quite what I was expecting from Huda fragrance but if I’m honest it wasn’t this creamy, floral blend that’s really rather lovely.

Huda Beauty Kayali Musk 12 Fragrance

It’s certainly of a type – sweet, heavy and generous with gourmand notes … I suppose you might say it is lavish – it reminded of the scent of some lipsticks. Huda and her sister Mona worked with the French perfume house, Firmenich, to create this (and several others) so it has complexity. I think I’m drawn to the jasmine notes even though I’m never at ease with too much vanilla and although I like a weighty fragrance on occasion (thinking of McQueen) this would be just a bit much for me on a daily basis. I see that customer feedback (on Cult Beauty) questions the longevity of Kayali Musk 12 but I found it had decent last on me – certainly it was still there in the evening after an afternoon spritz.

It’s quite pricy at £85 for 100ml and £67 for 50ml, but if you love this type of heady, voluptuous scent, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It’s HERE.
