BOISE, Idaho — Ingredients for the BBQ smoke marinade
2 cups French dressing
1/3 cup of liquid smoke
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of lemon pepper
¼ cup of honey
Mix all ingredients well
Four pounds of raw fryer chicken cut up
Method
Marinate chicken for at least 5 hours, or overnight. Heat gas or charcoal broiler. Blister each side of the chicken -this process takes 7-9 minutes each side.
At this point, you can turn your grill down and finish cooking chicken. This takes about 20-25 minutes depending on what piece of chicken you use (breasts take longer than wings.)
-or-
You can place chicken on a baking pan (cookie sheet) and baste with leftover marinade. Place in a preheated 375-degree oven and cook for about 35-40 minutes.
Discard marinade after finishing.
