Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a "suspicious" incident in which an unidentified man driving a vehicle stopped and engaged with two girls who were walking along a Greene Township street last week.

Two female juveniles, ages not provided, were walking at about 1:15 p.m. June 20 in the area of Cameo and Medallion drives in Fayetteville when a vehicle pulled up alongside them, police said.

The male driver began talking to the girls about fishing, and asked if they wanted to go see some fish. Thinking the man was about to get out of the vehicle, the girls ran off.

The man drove off toward U.S. 30. The girls did not know what direction he went after that, police said.

The girls described the vehicle as an older, matte gray van or SUV with tinted windows. No other descriptors or other identifying information about the vehicle was available.

The man, possibly around 60 years old, was heavy set and had a bald head with sun spots, hairy blonde arms, no visible tattoos, and yellowish teeth, police said. The girls said he was "greasy" or sweaty, and was slurring his speech.

No one else was in the vehicle. No weapons or animals were seen.

Police are attempting to identify the driver and vehicle. Anyone with information should call the Chambersburg state police barracks at 717-264-5161, and reference incident number PA19-850212.
