[productsamples] Now to the eyes and cheeks for Paul & Joe Beaute Autumn 2019.
There are seven ‘moussy’ style eye shadows on their way – absolute colour constellations with so much tiny sparkle that they almost look fluid on the lid. They’re not metallics but just very densely sparkle shot.
The texture of them feels like a powder on your brush but a creme to the touch. I’ve noticed a bit of pulling away from the sides of the glass jars which can indicate they’ve dried out a bit (remember that these are samples and not necessarily accurately fully reflective of the product that goes onto counters) but nothing untoward showed in either swatching or lid application.
The texture isn’t the easiest to swatch with sponge applicators – when you use a brush there is absolutely no excess or pooling. The deep colours are really pigmented – I just whispered my brush over and got a complete lid’s worth of shadow (currently wearing the dark brown 05) – the lighter shades are more translucent washes but still high on sparkle. So, in the swatch from bottom to top are: 02, 04, 06, 07, 08, 03 and 05. I expect they have names but I still have no further info despite asking.
I’ll finish on the two new blush offerings that come with casings similar to the lipsticks.
