Lebanon bomb threat: Suspect arrested for making bomb after central Pa. hotel evacuated

State police have arrested the man believed to be responsible for the bomb threat in Lebanon County Sunday morning. 

David Oxenrider, 28, has been charged with manufacturing a weapon of mass destruction, causing or risking a castrophe and recklessly endangering, according to a news release. He is waiting to be arraigned.

Police responded to reports of a bomb threat shortly before 9 a.m. in the rear parking lot of the Bahney House in Myerstown, Lebanon County.

When police arrived, they found a suspicious package at the scene and located the suspect.

Oxenrider was taken into police custody, and the perimeter around the hotel was evacuated and blocked off.

The PA State Police Hazardous Device and Explosives Section analyzed the suspicious package and disabled the device inside of it. Lodgers were allowed back in the Bahney House around 2:40 p.m. Sunday.
