Severe weather could bring tornadoes, flash flooding to central Pa.

The silver lining is almost here, but we'll have to weather the storm first. The possibility of severe weather today is also bringing the risk of tornadoes because of the hot and humid air in some locations.

"On Thursday, the entire corridor from Atlanta and Charlotte to Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and perhaps part of the New York City metro area may be at risk for dangerous and damaging storms," according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski.

The storm system could also unleash damaging winds and hail. Be mindful that because of the saturation from overnight rain, it won't be too difficult for strong winds to cause downed trees and poles.

Calmer weather is expected to settle in by the weekend.
