Carrizozo man dies in second fatal rollover Sunday
Earlier accident resulted in death of 19-year-old Clovis man
A vehicle roll-over at 8:24 p.m., Sunday on New Mexico Highway 37, claimed the life of a 71-year-old Carrizozo man.
The fatality was the second from a roll-over that day.
New Mexico State Police investigated the fatal rollover crash near milepost 13, north of Ruidoso. The Initial investigation indicated a 2016 Jeep, driven by Thomas Roger Neudauer, 71, of Carrizozo, was traveling southeast on NM 37, according to information from Officer Dusty Francisco, NMSP public information officer.

For unknown reasons, the Jeep left the roadway on a curved portion of the road and rolled, Francisco said.
Neudauer was airlifted to a nearby airport where he succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead by the Office of Medical Investigator.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and seat belts were properly utilized, he said. No additional information is available.
At about 10 a.m. Sunday, 19-year-old Sotero Acuna from Clovis was killed when his vehicle left U.S. 70 on a curve and rolled.
