[productsample/affiliate] First of all, the bottle looks and feels very special with this new addition to the Amo range from Salvatore Ferragamo. I love the flower under the lid detail and the texture on the iridescent glass – I think they call it ‘hand feel’ – how a product feels when you hold it is a subliminal, but powerful, sales tool.

Salvatore Ferragamo Amo Flowerful

The notes that predominate for me are the fruits – blackcurrant and yuzu, although if you asked me I’d never be able identify those exact two from the general fruitiness, other than to say there is a distinct citrus feel which somehow seems to fade and rise again throughout the wear. Pink peony, jasmine and plum blossom give it a rounded, creamy floral slant although again, I’m not familiar with plum blossom enough to pull it out individually. The thing I can very much identify is vanilla, and it seems almost a bit bitter to me.

Flowerful feels like a by-the-book commercial fragrance – it’s got all the right things that make it a generically pretty and pleasant fragrance but without any individual markers. I can’t say it’s not pleasant, because over all it is, but neither could I say it has individuality or personality. Fragrance is so subjective – this isn’t one for me but I think it’s a crowd-pleaser none the less. It’s HERE at Escentual at £35.70 instead of £42. Non affiliate HERE.
