The United and American Airlines shopping portals are both offering bonus miles for the next week or two when hitting spending thresholds.
Deal 1 – United MileagePlus Shopping
- Spend $150 and earn 500 bonus miles.
- Spend $300 and earn 1,000 bonus miles.

Quick Thoughts
United’s portal offers the best earning potential here. Both United and American Airlines having a 500 bonus mile threshold, but you can hit United’s when spending only $150, whereas you have to spend $200 to hit American’s threshold.
United has an additional threshold, awarding 1,000 bonus miles when spending $300. That means you’ll earn a bonus 3.33 miles per dollar if spending exactly $300.
As always, compare the standard portal rates plus the bonus against other shopping portals using Cashback Monitor. That’s because even with the bonus 500/1,000 miles, you might do better using a different portal.
