A popular great white shark named Brunswick was spotted near Ocean City, Md., Friday traveling along the Delmarva Coast, according to CBS Local in Baltimore reports.

Brunswick is a social media sensation and has his own Twitter account, followed by more than 2500 people. He posts pictures and hints about his location, as he travels the ocean waters.

Brunswick, a tagged great white shark, swam on the ocean's surface early Friday morning off the coast of Delmarva.

His Twitter bio read: A 8′9″ white shark tagged by OCEARCH, and named for the people of Brunswick, GA.

OCEARCH has been tracking Brunswick's location since February after they placed a new Smart Position and Temperature (SPOT) tag on him. He is currently traveling somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean east of the Jersey shore.

The group wants to raise public interest and concern for sharks. Other tagged sharks’ movements can be tracked here.
