Tornado threat, half dollar-size hail, severe thunderstorms possible for central Pa.

A tornado warning has been issued for central York County until 7:30 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Manchester, moving east at 20 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Previously reported: The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for 30 counties in central Pennsylvania.

The watch was issued early Sunday afternoon and will be in effect until 9 p.m. 

York, Adams, Franklin, Cumberland and Lancaster counties are among those included. 

The forecast calls for the potential for showers and storms throughout the afternoon and early evening. Some storms could bring hail, damaging winds and heavy rain, the weather service reported. Winds gusts could be up to 60 mph.
