'Hamilton' cast to appear at '90s music-themed concert for AIDS research in Lansing

The Wharton Center at Michigan State University in East Lansing will host "Hamilton" shows from May 14 to June 2.

LANSING — If you want to see the cast of "Hamilton," but don't want to shell out likely hundreds of dollars to see a show at the Wharton Center, there's a cheaper alternative. 

The cast is scheduled to perform a benefit concert at The Loft May 27 that will raise money for the Broadway Cares/Equality Fights AIDS campaign, according to a news release. 

The cast of "Hamilton" will appear in downtown Lansing for a benefit concert while in the area for shows at The Wharton Center in East Lansing.

Tickets for "Hamilton's 90s Block Party" are on sale now at theloftlansing.com. Admission is $50 for general admission tickets and $75 for VIP tickets. 

All funds raised at the event are expected to benefit the campaign, the news release said.  

Cast members will perform hit music from the 1990s, the news release said. The event will also feature a live auction, raffle and cash bar.  

Doors for the May 27 event open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.

The event is open to people ages 18 and over.
