I’m a big fan of this type of brush head – dense and tight – because they’re so much easier to work with than others. I’m particularly keen on the Body Brush which is genius for applying and buffing in shimmering oils (think Fenty Molten Lava) so that your hands don’t end up shinier than your body. You can even sweep on regular body oils with them – obviously a brush has more ‘buff’ than hands so if you use circular motions as well as longer sweeps, it’s actually a much nicer, more sensorily pleasing way to do things. At £11.99 HERE (on offer – they’re £3 more expensive elsewhere and postage is free) this is something I think you’ll be very glad to have. I’ve also seen similar brushes used as self-tan applicators and I can see if you are meticulous how this might also be a more effective way to apply those but that’s way above my ability level!
The Face Blender is (obviously) smaller (£10.39 also on offer HERE) but still larger than I think you’d expect. It’s a non issue for me because I’m used to using this style of brush to apply foundation or blush and I like the grippiness of the Real Techniques version that I think gives good control. They’re both also far better if you have impaired grip and skinny handles are a no-no for you. I’d say yes to both without hesitation – we’re coming up to liquid bronzer time of year and if you’ve ever wrangled with a liquid highlighter, your troubles are over. I use mine for creme blush or creme highlighters too – don’t be too welded to the ‘liquid’ idea. I’d also be using the face version to apply oils – they’re so soft, and again that’s a sensory thing. These are SO CUTE.
I am in love with this brush. I have three! I use one for foundation, one for blush and one for contour/bronzer. Because of the size they are perfect for travel. Another point is the price. Real Technique has done it again. I have some very expensive Japanese brushes. But, I reach for my Real Technique on a daily basis. For me, that says a lot.
Those look really nice. I already own the expert face brush and 2 powder brushes, but I do love a dense foundation brush. I’ll be on the lookout for these.
Thank you for mentioning their usefulness for those with impaired grip. I think you are the only beauty writer who ever mentions things of relevance to those with disabilities – a bigger market than most beauty companies seem to think .
I agree…. I’d love to see a beauty company have even a small, edited range that takes disabilities into account.

My grandma has Parkinson’s and it really upsets her that she can’t do her makeup any more. Through trial and error we have found these brushes and some lighter coverage foundations and she can do most of her make up her self. It makes her so happy
