Food and ag groups seek USMCA approval

Nearly 70 food and agricultural groups sent a letter to every congressional office on Monday urging lawmakers to ratify the U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement.

The groups say the agreement will allow food and agriculture to trade more fairly and expand exports to the two countries.

They say Congress must pass the USCMA as Canada and Mexico account for more than $45 billion in U.S. ag exports and support more than one million jobs.

The ag groups represent bankers, dairy, corn, soybeans, wheat, pork, egg, turkey, cotton, and more.
