Oct. 7, 2020

Sports: In the Oct. 6 edition of the Carlsbad Current-Argus sports section the article titled “Carlsbad’s Miterko gets first college football experience vs. Kansas Jayhawks” listed an incorrect score in the sixth paragraph. The correct score was 44-0.

Oct. 6, 2020

News: The article was corrected Oct. 6 to reflect the recommendation for retention of Lea County Judge William Shoobridge by the JPEC. The previous version incorrectly noted his recommendation by the organization.

News: This story was updated June 2, 2020 to reflect a correction in a paraphrase of Eddy County Sheriff Mark Cage's May 28 Facebook post. In the post, Cage says the actions of the officer which resulted in the death of George Floyd were "unconscionable and not rooted in ANY type of law enforcement training I’ve ever been exposed to." The original report's paraphrase mistakenly characterized Floyd's death as accidental.
