Previously reported, April 29:

A 66-year-old Maryland man was arrested and charged with misdemeanors after police say a boy saw him masturbating in a local Friendly's bathroom.

Kenneth Paul Mijanovich, of Hagerstown, was allegedly "rapidly masturbating" in the Gettysburg Friendly's bathroom on April 7, according to an affidavit filed with District Judge Matthew Harvey.

Police met with the boy and his father the next day, when the boy described the man and the father described the vehicle and license plate number that Mijanovich drove away in.

The boy told police that he went into the bathroom and opened a partially open stall door. Mijanovich was sitting on a toilet, and then he stood up and began to masturbate, the affidavit states.

He also told police that Mijanovich asked him mid-act if he was waiting for the stall. The boy said he could see the man's genitals during this interaction.

The boy and his family went to Friendly's again for lunch on April 8, where they saw Mijanovich again in his car, but he quickly left when he saw them, police said in the affidavit.

Police were able to identify Mijanovich through his vehicle registration and driver's license photo. They called him, and he agreed to come down to the station.

After he was read his rights, Mijanovich told police that he was at Friendly's those two days and that he did masturbate in the bathroom, the affidavit states.

He said he was there just to pleasure himself and that he often does that in public restrooms because he gets aroused by the idea that someone might see him.

Mijanovich said he did not start masturbating until he made eye contact with the boy and let him watch for awhile, police said in the affidavit.

He said he stopped when he thought "how stupid" he was and left.

Mijanovich was charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness, harassment, corruption of minors and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanor offenses, according to online court documents.

He was taken to Adams County prison on April 20 in lieu of $50,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 1.

Mijanovich's attorney information is not yet listed.
