Kinze fears tariff “taxes” could be new normal

An ag equipment maker says tariffs have been passed on to them and fears those “taxes” will become the new normal.

Richard Dix, with Kinze Manufacturing, says hard decisions are being made, “I know that our ownership makes difficult choices on how to protect the farmer and protect their business and it’s a trade-off and it’s a difficult trade off that we’ve been put into this position by these tariff taxes!”

Dix says it’s costing the company growth potential, “Money is being siphoned away from our company that could go into new products, new employees, new markets, new investments.”

Dix says the fear is a resolution won’t be reached, “It’s going to be very, very difficult as we enter the election cycle, to get the attention this needs and get the work that needs to be done on it.”

Dix spoke at Kinze headquarters in Williamsburg, Iowa which hosted a town hall meeting with AEM and Tariffs Hurt the Heartland.
