Woman dies in shooting near North 77th Street, West Medford Avenue

A 28-year-old woman died in a shooting Wednesday near North 77th Street and West Medford Avenue, Milwaukee Police said Thursday morning.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner was called to the scene about 6:30 p.m. and crews were still on scene about 8 p.m., according to the office. Police said the shooting took place at 6 p.m.

Police said the woman was in a car when she was shot and that they were looking for suspects.
