14-year-old girl shot after suspects open fire on Stockton home

Police say the suspects drove away in a newer model, light colored, 4-door sedan.

STOCKTON, Calif. — Stockton Police are asking for the public's help after a 14-year-old girl was shot inside a home early Wednesday morning. 

The teen was inside a home on Bastille Court, in the Seaport District, when someone opened fire into the residence. She was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

Police say the suspects took off in a newer model, light-colored, four-door sedan. They have not been caught or named.

The shooting comes one month after five people were killed between three separate shootings across one weekend in Stockton.
