Two men were injured in a shooting April 24 in the 800 block of N. Seymour in Lansing, police said.

LANSING — Two people were injured in an overnight shooting stemming from an argument, Lansing police said.

Officers responded to the area of North Seymour Avenue and West Oakland Avenue at about 2:40 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a shooting, Lansing Public Information Director Robert Merritt said.

They found a 22-year-old man and a 29-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds, Merritt said. The 22-year-old had been shot in the lower leg, and the 29-year-old in the torso. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Neither were cooperative with arriving officers, Merritt said.

Officers determined the shooting took place at a home in the 800 block of N. Seymour Avenue, Merritt said. They believe the suspect entered the residence with a gun and got into an argument with both victims.

Police believe the argument turned physical, and the suspect shot both victims, Merritt said. The suspect left after the shooting.

No one had been arrested as of Wednesday morning. Police don't believe the shooting was random.

Anyone with information on the shooting can call Lansing police at 517-483-4600 or Sgt. Chris Baldwin at 517-483-6846.
