SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in South Sacramento, Tuesday night, police confirmed.
The crash happened in the area of Stockton Boulevard and Elder Creek Road around 8:40 p.m. According to police, the driver stayed at the scene after hitting the bicyclist.
The victim has only been identified as an adult male.
Investigators tell ABC10 they do not believe the driver was impaired. The person reportedly sustained a minor injury from the crash but did not want to be taken to the hospital.
Traffic in the area has slowed a bit due to the collision investigation. No other details have been released at this time.
