What kind of leader should the Oxnard School District have? This is your chance for input

Oxnard School District headquarters

Oxnard community members are invited to attend a forum Wednesday to give input on what qualities they’d like to see in the new superintendent.

The board of trustees of the Oxnard School District is conducting a search for the district’s next superintendent. Superintendent Cesar Morales accepted a position with the Ventura County Office of Education and will start on July 1.

Search firm Leadership Associates will host the forum Wednesday to gather feedback from parents, educators, residents and more. The firm, hired by the board for $22,500, will also facilitate several sessions with various groups within and outside of the district to also gather input.

Interested community members are also asked to participate by completing an online survey available in both English and Spanish. To take the survey, visit www.oxnardsd.org. The survey is available until Friday.

The community forum is 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Oxnard School District’s boardroom located at 1051 South A St. in Oxnard.
