There was a Monster Among Men on hand at Miller Park on Sunday.

WWE superstar Braun Strowman, aka the Monster Among Men, spent his morning sliding down Bernie Brewer's slide, taking pictures with Milwaukee Brewers players and personnel and then throwing out the first pitch prior to the Brewers' game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Strowman, whose real name is Adam Scherr, is a North Carolina native but, as it turns out, he has deep Wisconsin roots. His father, Rick, was a professional softball home-run hitting legend nicknamed "Crusher."

"Both sides of my family," Strowman said. "Everyone except my sister and I were born in the state of Wisconsin. My mom's family is from Hartford and my dad's family is from Slinger.

"So anytime I get an opportunity to come up and do anything in the state of Wisconsin, I love it."

Braun Strowman carries Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live during WWE WrestleMania at Met Life Stadium on April 7 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Strowman visited the Brewers on Sunday.

Strowman -- who donned a size 54 Brewers jersey with the number 99 -- took part in a wrestling event in Madison on Saturday night before making the trek over to Milwaukee to catch his favorite baseball team in action on Easter Sunday.

While his first pitch was juuuuust a bit outside (it hit the backstop) Strowman was able to throw to the man who inspired his character's first name -- Ryan Braun.

"We were coming down to a time crunch with my new character name, and everything that I had submitted either had legal issues or they didn't like," explained the 6-foot-8, 385-pound Strowman, who began training with the WWE back in 2013 after a career as a strongman.

"Randomly, SportsCenter was on at the WWE Performance Center, and they were talking about Ryan Braun and I was like, 'Braun...brawn. That's got a pretty good ring to it, and it fits me my build and everything.

"So, I pitched Braun. Originally it was Stoman and then we changed it to Strowman, and here we are. The rest is history. Ryan Braun is a big contributing factor to The Monster Among Men becoming a real-life character."

Strowman has done things with the Brewers in the past -- most recently last spring, when he was introduced to Eric Thames. Because of Thames's fandom, muscular build and array of tattoos it has been suggested that maybe he has a future in the WWE whenever his baseball career ends.

What does Strowman think of that possibility?

"If he wants to come in the ring and get these hands, he can come and get them," he said, using his popular catch phrase. "I'll pass them out graciously."
