Six vehicle theft suspects arrested in Oxnard over past week

Oxnard police arrested six people over the past week on suspicion of various vehicle theft charges, authorities said Friday.

At 8 am. Sunday, a patrol officer was in the 600 block of West Hueneme Road when he saw a Honda Civic that had reported to be stolen. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Eric Dominguez, 35, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a stolen vehicle and various other stolen vehicle charges.

On Tuesday, deputies responded to two separate vehicle theft incidents. The first arrest occurred at 3 p.m. in the 200 block of West First Street. A stolen Lexus was found and police made contact with Roman Salazar, 28, who was nearby. Through an investigation, police learned of Salazar’s association with the stolen vehicle and arrested him on suspicion of auto theft-related charges, according to authorities.

Around 9:53 p.m. the same day, patrol officers were in the 100 block of West Pleasant Valley Road when they saw a Ford Expedition that was reported stolen. Two juveniles and Rigoberto Garcia, 20, were found inside the vehicle. All three were arrested on auto theft-related charges.

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday,  the Oxnard Police Auto Theft Task Force found a Range Rover in the 300 block of North F Street. The Range Rover was reported to be stolen out of Thousand Oaks. Angela Chesser, 31, was contacted and arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
