A car fleeing Milwaukee police crashed into a pickup truck and a school bus Thursday afternoon, injuring seven people.

Officers tried to stop the car because a person wanted by police was inside, but after the driver refused to stop, the car crashed into the bus and second vehicle about 3:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of West North Avenue, police said.

Milwaukee Fire Department paramedics took seven people to hospitals. One person inside the car that fled police had life-threatening injuries.

The school bus served Carter’s Christian Academy on North 35th Street, and only the driver and a 13-year-old male student were on board. Their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

The driver of the pickup truck also had injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Police arrested the four people inside the car that fled police.
