The sleepless nights will soon be over for Michigan State cornerback Justin Layne, who sent a tweet April 17 that said, "Cant even sleep thinking about next week ..."

Layne will learn his NFL Draft fate when the annual event begins Thursday, April 25, in Nashville.

The Cleveland, Ohio, native totaled 130 tackles and three interceptions in three years with the Spartans. He pinned a heartfelt note to MSU fans announcing that he would forgo his senior season to enter the draft and posted it to Twitter on Dec. 14, 2018.

In the weeks leading up to the draft, Layne has been projected as high as pick No. 29 (Ryan Wison of CBSSports.com), which belongs to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here are a few other things you might not know about the former Spartan.

Justin Layne is the father of a Blue Nose Pit Terrier, Storm

Michigan State's Justin Layne nearly intercepts a Rutgers pass during the second quarter on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.

Whatever NFL team picks Layne will get quite the package deal.

His 8-month-old Blue Nose Pit Terrier, Storm, is ridiculously cute.

Justin Layne tallied a career-best for pass break-ups as a junior

Michigan State's Justin Layne breaks up a pass intended for Maryland's Jermaine Carter Jr. during the first quarter on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.

Layne tied for first in the Big Ten and 10th in the FBS with 15 pass break-ups during the Spartans' 2018 season.

That total also tied for eighth-most in a single season at Michigan State.

In case you're wondering, Amp Campbell holds the record for most pass break-ups in a single season with 26 during the 1999 campaign.

DeAndre Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald top NFL receivers Justin Layne looks forward to covering

In an interview with Justin Melo for The Draft Wire, Layne was asked which NFL wideouts he is looking forward to covering the most.

Not surprisingly, he picked a couple of the best.

DeAndre Hopkins is somebody that immediately comes to mind. He’s a fierce competitor and he’s a tough cover. I’d have to mention all the guys I grew up watching though. Larry Fitzgerald is one of the greatest to ever play the game at any position. He’d be an honor to compete against.

The two quarterbacks Layne would love to intercept? Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger.
