Who "completely destroyed" a Fairview Township hotel room in January seems to be in contention as cases against two men and a woman move through York County Court of Common Pleas.

On Thursday, Fairview Township Police posted a photo and information on William Gauge Bryan, 21 of Shermansdale. Bryan is charged in the Jan. 24 case where a room at the Red Carpet Inn was trashed to the tune of more than $4,100.

Bryan, of the 5200 block of Spring Road, faces one count of criminal mischief in the case.

In March, police released information on 20-year old Hunter Rose Mehalick of Marysville, stating that she and another individual damaged the room.

Hotel manager Sagar Patel told police he checked room 344 and discovered it had been "completely destroyed," documents state.

Mehalick, who officially rented the room in the 300 block of Lewisberry Road, Fairview Township, faces one count of criminal mischief.

But Bryan's charging documents say that Mehalick told police the damage was all Bryan's doing.

"She then advised me that William Gauge Bryan was the individual that destroyed the room," documents state. "This was confirmed by other witnesses. A written statement was completed by Mehalick."

Police said the destruction of light fixtures and furniture in the room totaled $4,137. They did not say if Mehalick and Bryan knew each other

Mehalick, who is charged with one count of criminal mischief, has a pre-trial conference before York County Judge Michael E. Bortner on June 10, according to online court dockets.

Bryan's pre-trial conference before Bortner is scheduled for June 17. A third person, Tyler Alan Sands, 19, of Marysville, faces one count of receiving stolen property in the case. He has a pre-trial conference before Bortner set for June 18.
