U.S., Japan agree to talk trade again soon

U.S. and Japanese trade officials have pledged to accelerate negotiations after meeting in Washington earlier this week.

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer made his vision clear during a Senate subcommittee hearing last month.

“I want to move forward on Japan. I think that’s really important for our farmers.”

Lighthizer says trade discussions on ag, manufactured goods, and digital trading standards will resume soon.
