Spartan Speak: Michigan State spring football game, uniform talk, NFL draft preview
Lansing State Journal columnist Graham Couch and Detroit Free Press Michigan State beat writer Chris Solari have made the switch from basketball to football as the Spartans' spring game was Saturday.
The duo breaks down the game by:
- Picking two players each that stood out
- Selection two plays of the game
- Giving their first impressions of new offensive coordinator Brad Salem
- Give their first impressions of the freshmen who enrolled in January
- Provide their final thoughts on the game.
From there, we'll discuss our thoughts on the new Nike uniforms, Kenny Willekes' comments about staying in school because of the bowl game injury, projecting NFL draft prospects for Justin Layne, Khari Willis and LJ Scott, and the chances the basketball team can land Marquette transfers Sam and Joey Hauser.
