President Donald Trump will once again skip the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington, D.C.

And this time, he's headed to Green Bay.

He'll appear at Resch Center for a rally, with doors opening at 4 p.m. and the event scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Those who want to attend the event can register through the president's campaign website.

Wisconsin has emerged as a top target for both parties heading into the 2020 presidential campaign.

Democrats will hold their national convention in Milwaukee July 13-16, 2020 and four presidential contenders have already campaigned in the state — U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, former San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro and former Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke.

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey is also expected to campaign here in the next few weeks.

Trump has lavished attention on Wisconsin, appearing 18 times in the state since 2015. His most recent appearance was in late October in Mosinee when he headlined a campaign rally for Republicans Scott Walker and Leah Vukmir.

Green Bay and the surrounding area are a key battleground in statewide races.

In his 2016 victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton, Trump secured Wisconsin's electoral votes in part by dominating the Green Bay and Wausau media markets that stretch across northern Wisconsin.

Clinton did not campaign in the state leading up to the geelection.

Trump has also taken a keen interest in Foxconn Technology Group's push to open a factory in Wisconsin. He helped recruit the firm to the state, appeared at a groundbreaking ceremony in Mount Pleasant and then stepped in when there was uncertainty over whether the company would move forward with the project.
