Tuesday report to focus on demand, exports, prices

The Tuesday World Agricultural Supply and Demand Report will focus on what’s happened with this past season’s crops. Outlook Board Chairman Seth Meyer says report will be about demand, exports and prices.

“Remember, we have to go with not only U.S. production in the out-year, we then have to think about production and trade around the world,” said Meyer, in comments provided by the USDA. “We have to look out many, many months in terms of production.”

The report will have information on South America’s second-crop corn development, which, said Meyer, is in the reproductive stage.

“It comes off a couple of months before our own and provides us some export competition,” said Meyer, “so that’s one thing we’ll focus a lot of our attention on is how is that second crop of corn doing in Brazil.”

Brazil’s soybean and corn crops are both close to wrapping up, according to Meyer. The reports are out Tuesday at Noon EDT; 11:00 a.m. CDT.
