Bald Eagles Are Picking Up Trash From Seattle's Landfill And Dumping It In Suburban Yards

  According to Boing Boing, about 200 (!) bald eagles have been dropping trash into the yards of the Seattle suburbia, and as you could imagine, the suburbanites are not happy.

  The trash that has been dropped ranges from all kinds of junk found in the landfill nearby to one lucky resident who received a 'blood-filled biohazard container'. The nearby landfill takes in two tons of fresh trash a day.

  "The main issue is the open-air landfill in the area, the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill in King County. That landfill was supposed to have been closed years ago, but a proposed expansion has kept it open. In fact, that expansion is meant to keep the landfill exposed until 2040...
