Indiana Farm Bureau is preparing for the next 100 years

Indiana Farm Bureau is celebrating its history by planning for the future.

Indiana Farm Bureau President Randy Kron says the organization is reviewing its programs to make sure it continues to meet the needs of its members.

“Part of that, I think, is why I make an extra effort to get out to our counties and talk to local members because they’ll help us shape and mold farm bureau for the next 100 years,” he says.

He tells Brownfield the organization will continue to change just like the agriculture industry has changed.

“We’re putting extra emphasis on the younger generation because that is the future of farm bureau and the future of farming across the state,” he says. “So, we’re trying to reach out through FFA, through our collegiate programs at different universities, and our young farmer program.”

Indiana Farm Bureau will continue to celebrate its 100th anniversary throughout the year.
