At Citrix, volunteering is core to our culture. Giving back in the communities where we work and live is part of who we are and what we do. In fact, we provide employees with two days off each year to volunteer with a nonprofit organization of their choice. That’s in addition to our corporate giving program, which provides grant dollars and matches employee donations, and our myriad other global volunteer programs.

Recently, Citrix employees Evin Scully, Asif Syed, Antoin Carroll, and Richard Mann volunteered with Merchants Quay Ireland (MQI), a Dublin, Ireland, volunteer organization that provides services to the homeless and those who are struggling with drug addiction and mental illness. This includes everything from access to dentists and doctors to showers, clothes, and an overnight shelter. The Citrix employees helped the MQI staff distribute meals and snacks and prepare for the evening’s dinner service.

“It was so busy, with everyone coming through and the staff getting ready for the many, many people who come in at night for a meal,” said Evin Scully, an Associate Technical Support Engineer. “I was proud to work side by side with my coworkers and do our part to pitch in and help MQI.”

Giving back to our communities, like our team members in Dublin did with MQI, is just one way we come together as a global company and serve others. Learn more about our community outreach programs.

MQI recently released a short film documenting the reality of those in Ireland who are homeless or dealing from addiction and mental illness and how the organization is responding to help. Watch it below.
