Stephenson: Signs of optimism in struggling dairy markets
A dairy markets expert says the market is still struggling.
Mark Stephenson with the University of Wisconsin’s Dairy Profitability Center tells Brownfield, “We’ve just got a little too much milk and dairy product, but again, I think that there are some signs, some hints of optimism out there.”
Stephenson says that more people are starting to believe the dairy stocks in storage can be pulled down as we get near the end of the year. “Demand has continued to be strong in most places. Most countries that are major buyers of imported dairy products, you know, have been fairly supportive of that buying lately.”
