2019 Featured Farmers announced for Indiana State Fair

The 2019 Featured Farmers for the Indiana State Fair were announced this morning at the Indiana Statehouse.

The program, sponsored by Corteva Agriscience is in its fifth year and helps connect consumers with farmers.

Indiana State Fair Commission Executive Director Cindy Hoye says the program helps fairgoers learn more about where their food comes from.

The 2019 Featured Farmers, who represent different agricultural products and regions of the state, are:

  • Huber family of Clark County
  • Rodibaugh family of Jasper County
  • Mark Smith of Montgomery County
  • Sean Smith of Elkhart County
  • Gelfius family of Bartholomew County
  • Arnholt family of Bartholomew County
  • Jeff Martin of Jasper County
  • Jill and Brian Houin of Marshall County
  • Lamb family of Boone County
  • Sommer family of Adams County
  • Sam and Darren Schwoeppe of Dubois County
  • Glenn Morris of Gibson County
  • Emily and Cory Studebaker of Whitley County
  • Cline family of Tipton County
  • Kevin Bohman of Jefferson County

Fairgoers can meet the Featured Farmer each day at the fair by visiting the Glass Barn for a live chat at 2:30 p.m.

The 2019 Indiana State Fair runs Aug. 2-18.
