A 27-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man are dead following an apparent murder-suicide in the Sherman Park neighborhood, Milwaukee police said.

The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Monday in the 3500 block of North 58th Street, where police believe the man fatally shot the woman before killing himself, according to a news release.

No further details were available Monday.
