County farm bureau hosts unique breakfast during National Ag Week
A county farm bureau is celebrating National Ag Week in a unique way. More than 300 members of the community came to the Marion County Illinois Farm Bureau Wednesday morning to enjoy a breakfast cooked by the farm bureau members for just 50 cents.
“Basically, the cost of the breakfast is about $6.00 normally, with the 50 cents representing the approximate share for the farmer.”
Steve Brummel is the President of the Marion County Farm Bureau and says this is the 14th year for the breakfast. All of the proceeds help fund the county’s ag in the classroom program.
