Moreland says Africa, Middle East potential corn markets

The chair of the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council says Africa is seen as a potential market for U.S. corn as commodity groups search for more buyers around the world.

Mike Moreland is also a Missouri Corn Growers director, who says, “You can fit the United States, Europe, India and China in the boundaries of Africa. That’s how big it is. They have a huge population, poverty level, in need of food. Our products are the fastest and easiest way that they can expand their economy and expand their lifestyle.”
