Fred Goodnight and Friends

The Space Coast Jazz Society will host drummer and percussionist Fred Goodnight in a concert at Rockledge Country Club, 1591 S. Fiske Blvd., from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 10. Joining Goodnight will be Paul Polanski on tenor sax, Dexter Wilborn on bass and Mike Telesmanick on piano. These Space Coast musicians will blend their individual styles into an afternoon of straight up and bossa nova jazz tunes. Indiafest

Indiafest will be at Wickham Park in Melbourne on March 9-10, 2019. The colorful event will include dancing, music, Indian food, vendors, and activities for children.

What can you look for at this annual festival celebrating Indian culture? Dancing, music, a fashion show, cooking and yoga demonstrations, arts and crafts, raffles and — of course — traditional Indian cuisine. The theme this year is "Mystic East India," which will be showcased throughout the festival at Wickham Park, 2500 Parkway Drive, Melbourne, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 9 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 10. Space Coast Seafood and Music Festival

Featuring fresh seafood and live concerts by country, reggae and rock stars, this family-friendly event usually attracts thousands of guests from Florida and beyond. It will be at Space Coast Daily Park, 6091 Stadium Parkway, Viera, from 5 to 11 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 5 to 11:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, 10 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday, March 9, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10. Attractions include an arts & crafts show, a pirate festival and parade, a live shark encounter, kid's rides and games, and more. Concert tickets for Travis Tritt, the Charlie Daniels Band, The Cadillac Three, SOJA and Ky-Mani Marley start at $29, and include festival admission. The Producers: Auditions for ages 13 and older for this musical based upon the classic Mel Brooks comedy will be at Cocoa Village Playhouse, 300 Brevard Ave., at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 11-12. No experience is necessary. Prepare 16 bars of a song, or be ready to sing "Happy Birthday" with piano accompaniment. Dress in clothes and shoes appropriate for dancing.
