Eklund was sentenced to eight years of prison.

Christopher Eklund, 47, was sentenced to eight years in prison by federal Judge Lynn Adelman for distributing child pornography.

Eklund, who taught English in China for several years, was imprisoned in October 2016 by Chinese authorities.

After spending two years in a Chinese prison, he was deported to the U.S. for prosecution, where he pleaded guilty to one count of distributing child pornography.

In court documents, Eklund admitted fixating on his students and described how every time he saw one little girl, “his heart (was) aflame and burning hot, fueled by pedo lust.”

He also groomed them by showing them images of adult porn.

Eklund was in the Army National Guard for eight years from 1990 to 1998 because he could not afford college, according to a sentencing memo from his attorney.

However, he said he had been hooked on child pornography since he was 17 years old.

Court documents reveal that he had molested children in China and possessed two terabytes of child pornography at the time of his arrest in the U.S..

According to a press release from the Department of Justice, FBI agents discovered that he had used a file sharing network to store, share and advertise thousands of child pornography images.

Multiple agencies, including the FBI Milwaukee Crimes Against Children Task Force and Milwaukee Police Department, were involved in his arrest.

Once Eklund is released, he will remain under supervision for seven years.
