Walz and Noem to lead Governors’ Biofuels Coalition

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem will lead the Governors’ Biofuels Coalition this year.

Walz says they’ll continue urging EPA Administrator Wheeler to honor President Trump’s commitment to making E15 available year round starting this summer and “many overdue EPA regulatory reforms.”

Walz says he and Noem will ask their governor colleagues to consider making the use of higher ethanol blends in all state fleet vehicles mandatory.

Walz will serve as chair, Noem as vice chair of the Biofuels Coalition. They thanked outgoing Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds for her national leadership on renewable energy policy.
