The committees tasked with helping Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins create a policy plan for his first term will meet Feb. 21 and 22.

Their meetings will be held at the Central Art Station and Artspace in downtown Shreveport. The public is invited to attend and observe the meetings. The committees will host invited speakers during meetings. Space for the meetings is limited.

The committees were formed under the Future of Shreveport, the nonprofit created to advise Perkins. The eight committees cover public safety, education, infrastructure, entertainment, quality of life, technology, community partners and economic development within the city. The groups are expected to create recommendations that Perkins and his administration could implement as early as the second quarter of this year.
