Local Presidents Day rallies will target Trump's national emergency declaration

Rallies will be held today in Simi Valley and Ventura protesting the declaration of a national emergency.

Rallies protesting President Donald Trump's declaration of a national emergency are scheduled for today in Ventura and Simi Valley.

Similar Presidents Day rallies are being held nationwide in reaction to the order signed Friday to free up money to build a border wall.

According to Indivisible Ventura, the Ventura rally will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Victoria Avenue and Telephone Road in front of the Ventura County Government Center.

The Simi Valley rally will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at 1445 E. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley, outside of Congresswoman Katie Hill's office, according to information from Indivisible Simi Valley.
