Two injured in crash involving MPD vehicle

An on-duty Montgomery police unit was part of a two-vehicle collision with injuries Sunday in Montgomery, police said.

Police and fire medics responded to the scene of a crash at West Fairview and Gaston avenues, Montgomery Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jarrett Williams said. There were no reported injuries to the occupants of the MPD vehicle, but Williams said the people riding in the civilian vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are under investigation, Williams said.

No other information on the crash was immediately available.
