Medallion Coverplate from Kat Scrappiness

Hi there! Today I have another Coverplate to share with you. I am talking about the new Medallion Coverplate form Kat Scrappiness and here is my first project created with it.

I used whisper white card stock to create this card. I though it is a really beautiful die cut that you can use with any type of material or in different ways so I decided give a lot of colors to my decorated layer.

To make my Medallion Coverplate more colorful, I used dye inks from Catherine Pooler: Peppermint Scrub, Grass Skirt, Sauna and All that Jazz were the colors that I used. I applied the ink directly with the ink pad over the die cut piece. The paper ended too wet so I dried it with the heat tool to speed my process.

I pasted the decorated layer over the card base and finalized the decoration with a sentiment from the stamp set God’s Promises from Joy Clair that I stamped using All That Jazz ink and die cut with one of the cross stitched circles from Gina Marie Designs available in Kat Scrappines Store.

My second card is also whisper white with a middle piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock and a color touch of Grapefruit Grove on the heart.

To give a twist to this die cut, I cut the Medallion Cover Plate in whisper white and then I cut it on the center. I pasted both pieces to the decorated card base having the borders on the middle.

I finalized the decoration stamping a tiny sentiment and cutting it with the small sentiment strips cuts from Kat Scrappines. If you are asking about the heart, it is the heart included on the Build Stocking Dies from Kat Scrappines splattered with Gold Orange Glimmer Mist.
