Michigan grazing apprenticeships available

The Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship program is expanding into Michigan.

Michigan State University and Michigan Food and Farming Systems have announced they are partnering with the program to help farmers become Master Dairy Grazers.

The Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship pairs experienced dairy grazing farmers with apprentices interested in getting started.  The program also provides financial consulting services to participants and has successfully implemented equity building, farm start-up and farm transfer models.

An informational meeting is set for February 26th at the W.K. Kellogg Farm in Hickory Corners for those interested in learning more.
