Carlos Orlando Alvarado, 20, is charged with felony burglary and felony conspiracy to commit burglary after he admitted to authorities he broke into the Chambersburg Aquatic Center, court documents state

Officers with Chambersburg Police were patrolling the area of Memorial Drive on Monday, Feb. 11, when they came across several footprints in the snow heading toward the concession stand and eventually leading to a shattered window inside the gated area of the pool facility. Police said they then watched surveillance footage, which showed multiple suspects entering the facility and stealing items after one person used a sign to break a window.

The next day, authorities reviewed the footage again and identified Alvarado as one of the individuals possibly involved in the incident. Officers were unable to speak with him at his home, but did talk to his mother. She showed them the red sweatshirt he was wearing the evening before, which matched what was worn at the time of the burglary by the person believed to be Alvarado, documents state.
